It started with a garage full of sports gear like track spikes, gloves, balls left behind as our kids tried different sports. Talking with neighbors, we realized many families were in the same boat: equipment piling up, still in great shape but no longer needed.

We collected gear to donate to local schools, thinking it would be a simple way to give back. But as the donations came in, we realized other parents wanted their equipment to go directly to kids in need. After reaching out to schools, we discovered a deeper need, many students didn’t even have proper shoes for PE.

That’s when Starting Line Youth Sports Alliance was born. What began as a cleanup project became a mission to get quality gear into the hands of kids who need it most so that every child has the chance to play, grow, and discover the joy of sport.
